Led by Devin Mackey, continuing the legacy of Mackey Construction

Devin Mackey got his start in construction at 17, working for his father as a general laborer and carpenter. He learned the trade from the ground up, spending years on job sites before moving into project management within the family business.

He later joined Gordon Gibson Construction, where he served as a project superintendent and project manager on large-scale custom homes throughout Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and Santa Monica. These projects ranged from 8,000 to over 16,000 square feet and required a high level of coordination, planning, and attention to detail.

He then founded Build Mackey with a clear goal: to build a company that delivers an organized, transparent, and reliable construction process. At its core, the company is built around the idea that construction isn't just about building a home — it's about managing a complex process and reducing stress for the client along the way.
